Job summary

A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a Phlebotomist responsible for performing various phlebotomy procedures and ensuring the accuracy of patient information. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a minimum of six months related experience, and a phlebotomy certification if hired in 2012 or later. This role will involve obtaining blood samples, organizing workload, and assisting in training new employees. Comprehensive training and support will be provided.

Qualifications

• A minimum of six months job-related experience or equivalent is required.
• Must have Phlebotomy certification if hired during or after 2012.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood samples by performing venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
• Enter all patient information into the hospital system.
• Organize and distribute workload in phlebotomy.
• Order tests in the computer when needed.
• File/Scan scripts and prepare reports for delivery.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies needed.
• Clean and maintain phlebotomy work areas.
• Assist with the training of new employees.
• Perform duties at assigned locations.
