An exciting opportunity has arisen for a phlebotomist to join our team.We are looking to appoint a Phlebotomist who is clinically skilledwith general blood taking and can work across our four sites.
Saturday morning working is required.

Main duties of the job
The key elements of this role include:
- Taking,collecting and storing samples of blood in accordance with training andprocedures.
- Chaperoning(training can be provided).
You will have undertaken phlebotomy training and have recent experiencein blood taking. You will be a team player with excellent communication andorganisational skills, a positive attitude and commitment to General Practiceand the NHS.

Rosebank Health PCN, includes Rosebank Surgery, Severnvale Surgery, Bartongate Surgery and Kingsway Health Centre. The successful candidate will be required to work across all four sites.

Job responsibilities
- Ensuring that thepatient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible and confirming theiragreement to the collection of a blood sample
- Collection ofsample(s)s of blood in accordance with training and procedures
- Ensuring samples arestored in appropriate containers
- Accurate, legiblelabelling of all samples to confirm patient identity
- Checking patientidentification against Doctor/Nurse request and confirming with patient wheneverpossible
- Recording collectionof blood sample in patient record in accordance with Practice procedure
- Ensuring thatsamples are dispatched to the appropriate laboratories in a timelyfashion.
- Ensuring thatanomalies are reported to a senior member of staff
- Notifying theDoctor/Nurse of any significant patient issues
- Liaising with and assistingmembers of the administrative team
