A local healthcare provider in Bath is seeking a qualified phlebotomist to join their clinical team. The role involves performing venepuncture on patients of all ages and ensuring accurate sample handling. The ideal candidate should be qualified in phlebotomy and ideally have experience with SystmOne TPP clinical software. Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene standards and recording patient information accurately. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and clinical support.
We are looking for a trained phlebotomist to see patients and take blood samples both for primary care requests and for the hospital, therefore experience with SystmOne TPP clinical software and ICE hospital software would be beneficial.
The role also includes re-stocking of equipment in GP rooms.
Phlebotomy for both children and adults using a range of techniques as clinically required.
Accurate recording of notes in patient records.
Checking of consumables used by GPs and re-stocking of items as required.
Newbridge Surgery serves a population of approximately 9000 patients. We have a clinical team of GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Nurse Associates, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists and Paramedics.
We are looking for a trained phlebotomist to support our clinical team.
Perform venepuncture on children and adults
Ensure correct patient identification and accurate labelling of samples
Prepare samples for laboratory analysis in line with protocols
Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and health and safety
Reassure patients and provide clear explanations of procedures relevant to their age or understanding
Record and update patient information accurately
Dispose of clinical waste safely and appropriately
Report any adverse reactions or incidents promptly
Maintain stock levels and equipment cleanliness
