We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our service in Wigan and Leigh. In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing expert medicine management to ensure clients receive the highest standard of care and support their recovery journey.
Job responsibilities
- Provide expert medicine management and ensure medicines are used safely and effectively.
- Manage the use, control and storage of medicines and related stationery.
- Input into the development of services and educate frontline teams to maintain high-quality service provision.
- Communicate with clients with compassion and professionalism, treating them with dignity.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to a positive and engaging working environment.
- Typical duties may require travel to different locations as needed.
Essential Skills / Qualifications
- To be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
- Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
- At least 2 years post-qualification experience in a pharmacy environment.
- Experience of providing medicine-related advice to clients/carers.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of controlled drugs regulations.
- Organised, able to prioritise and manage unexpected demands on time.
- Comfortable using IT and gathering, monitoring and analysing data.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently but know when to refer in line with personal/professional limitations.
- Able to travel to different locations as required.
