A local healthcare provider in Heanor is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support clinical pharmacists in medication management and patient queries. The ideal candidate will have General Pharmaceutical Council registration and experience in a patient-facing role. Responsibilities include aiding medication reviews, liaising with community pharmacists, and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation. This position requires a proactive approach and entails working across multiple practices for optimal patient care.
To support the ARCH PCN pharmacists in delivering safe,efficient systems for the monitoring and management of repeat prescriptions,medicine optimisation and provide support and advice to patients to ensure thebest possible outcomes are achieved.
There will be one Saturday shift a month required, 4hours for a part time employee, full day for a full time employee.
To respond to medication queries from patientsand staff in a professional manner, referring to the appropriate clinician inline with relevant protocols.
To support the Clinical Pharmacists in providingmedication reviews, developing further Standard Operating Procedures, PatientInformation Leaflets and information about medicine awareness.
To support the clinical pharmacists andadministrative staff in medicine reconciliation and updating of recordsaccording to practice and local policies.
You will be working within ARCH PCN and will be based across one or more of the 9 practices in the neighbourhoods of Ripley, Heanor or Alfreton.
To respond to medication queries from patientsand staff in a professional manner, referring to the appropriate clinician inline with relevant protocols.
To support the Clinical Pharmacists in providingmedication reviews, developing further Standard Operating Procedures, PatientInformation Leaflets and information about medicine awareness.
To support the clinical pharmacists andadministrative staff in medicine reconciliation and updating of recordsaccording to practice and local policies.
To liaise where necessary with communitypharmacists and other pharmacists in relation to medicine optimisation.
To lead the practice in the auditing, monitoringand prescribing of high-risk drugs.
To take a proactive approach in the safehandling of prescriptions, assessing risks and making any recommendations forchange.
To support the practice in achieving the Qualityand Outcomes Framework targets and any targets from other organisations.
To assist in the control of medicines stockswithin the practices within ARCH PCN, ensuring compliance with medicineslegislation.
To work alongside administrative staff involvedin the preparation of repeat prescriptions on a daily basis to ensure timely,safe high quality effective repeat prescribing.
To help, plan, develop and support theintroduction of new working processes within the practice to optimise thequality of prescribing.
