Job Title: Prison-Cleared Pharmacy Technician - Durham

Location: Multiple Prison Sites across Northeast

Pay Rate: £22.50 - £33.50 per hour (dependent on shift type)

Job Type: Locum / Temporary

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 3-6 Months (with potential for extension)

Belmont Recruitment are looking for experienced Prison-Cleared Pharmacy Technicians to support a number of secure establishments across Greater Manchester. If you're confident working independently and want to contribute to healthcare delivery in a challenging but rewarding setting — we'd love to hear from you.

Your Role Will Include:
  • Supporting the delivery of in-prison pharmacy services
  • Handling in-possession risk assessments and supervised consumption
  • Stock management, ordering, and secure storage of medications
  • Supporting medicines optimisation and patient education
  • Liaising with nursing and medical teams to ensure safe prescribing and administration
What You'll Need:
  • Valid Prison Clearance (CTC, Enhanced HMP Vetting, etc.) - essential
  • Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Prior experience working in secure or NHS pharmacy settings
  • Confident in medicines administration, patient-facing support, and stock control
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
