Job summary

A healthcare recruitment agency is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to provide high-quality pharmacy services in a prison environment at HMP Maghaberry. Responsibilities include stock management and processing returns with a strong emphasis on achieving a NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services within 24 months. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs including English and Maths, a valid UK driving license, and previous experience in a secure setting. Closing date for applications is 16 Jan 2026.

Qualifications

  • Driving license valid in the UK and access to a car required.
  • Experience in a secure environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock levels in a neat and safe manner.
  • Participate in the treatment room top-up service.
  • Process returns from treatment rooms.

Pharmacy Assistant (Healthcare in Prison)

The post holder will assist in the provision of a comprehensive, high quality and efficient pharmacy service to Healthcare in Prison.The post holder will work as an effective member of the pharmacy team providing dispensing services from the Healthcare in Prison Pharmacy located at HMP Maghaberry.The successful applicant will be required to complete a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (3 mandatory units and 3 units selected by the Trust that are relevant to your job role) and any additional NVQ2 Pharmacy Services modules relevant to the job role within 24 months of appointment

Skills and Qualifications
