About the role

As a Pharmacist with us you’ll be providing excellent customer and patient care, it’s more than dispensing medicine, it’s listening and providing your expert advice and reassurance. Your main areas of responsibility will be:

  • Delivering the pharmacy strategy through providing expert care and advice
  • Accountable for legal and ethical decisions in the pharmacy
  • Building the pharmacy capability of store teams
  • Conducting continual review through audit, observations and risk assessment to ensure customer and patient safety is paramount
  • Delivering a range of professional pharmacy services
What you’ll need to have

To be successful in this role you will have a professional, caring character and a true desire to help us change for the better. In addition you will:

  • Be registered with relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI)
  • Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise and be widely respected by stakeholders, peers, patients, customers and external local professionals
  • Have a passion for community pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers
  • Be collaborative with a team-centered approach
  • Have excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and provisions of national and local services
  • Be a great communicator; able to put people at ease and effectively meet the varied needs of our customers and patients

Need To Know

We are seeking a store-based Pharmacist to join our established team in Bentley Bridge, West Birmingham!

You will be joining a busy edge of town retail park, with access to the M6 for ideal commuting.

We have an experienced team in store with a Trainee Pharmacy Technician, three qualified Dispensers and a Trainee Dispenser.

We are located near to the local hospital which drives our walk-in business.

Our service offering is Pharmacy First, Hypertension, EHC, NMS and Oral Contraception. There is increased revenue from our online services line too!

The pharmacy has Scan To Accuracy Check in place also supporting the Pharmacist to drive the service agenda in store.

There are qualified team members in store who assist with the Healthcare aspect of the business should it be required during busy times.

There is on site parking, with registration of vehicle required.

This opportunity is offering 39 hours per week. You will work a two week rota, which includes twelve hour shifts and alternate weekend working. If you are seeking alternative hours, we would encourage you to still get in touch to explore further.
