Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Garth. HMP Garth is a category B Prison located in Ulnes Walton, Lancashire. Housing around 800 male patients aged 21+. Within this role, you will be working with an established Pharmacy team delivering clinical screening, structured medication reviews, and being involved in audits and pharmacy project work. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a successful pharmacy service for all patients.

What you'll be doing

As the Clinical Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service
  2. Providing expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring a safe and modern medicines management service
  3. Leading a team of Pharmacy technicians

Requirements include:

  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
