A social care provider in the Tees Valley area is looking for dedicated support workers to assist a young individual with Dravet Syndrome. Responsibilities include encouraging social interaction, promoting independence, and developing a trusting relationship. Candidates must be honest, reliable, and patient, with a genuine interest in supporting those with disabilities. Flexible hours up to 9.5 per week. Training will be provided for necessary skills, including Epilepsy care. Must be a car driver with business insurance.

This position is to support a sweet natured, easy going and happy boy. He has a diagnosis of Dravet Syndrome and can communicate his needs verbally, he uses a small wheelchair when out in the community as he can become tired easily. On weekends and in school holidays he enjoys going out in the car, visiting shops, museums and parks. TS27 area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Car driver and car owner – must have business insurance.
Successful candidates are required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to the role.
Hours per week: Up to 9.5
Dates and times are flexible and can be discussed at interview.
