Job description
About Me

Hi there! My name is Matthew. I have a huge heart, a great sense of humour, and I love good music and Coronation Street! I live in Airdrie with my parents and our little schnauzer, Tilly.

A couple of years ago, I moved here and I’ve been finding it hard to meet someone who can support me in doing the things I enjoy. I have Down syndrome and a learning disability, and while my mum is also disabled and my dad works a lot, I’m ready to find someone who can help me get out and about more — and most importantly, have fun!

About the Role

I’m looking for a kind, friendly and reliable person to support me in living my life to the fullest. I’d love someone who enjoys a good laugh, good company, and is up for joining me in activities such as:

  • Going shopping or for a coffee
  • Visiting the gym and getting active again
  • Meeting my friends for a disco
  • Going to music concerts
  • Cooking or baking together in the kitchen (cupcakes are my favourite!)
Requirements
  • Must have a driving licence and access to a car
  • Be patient, fun, and supportive
  • Be willing to help me build my confidence and independence
Hours

24 hours per week to start with, with the potential to increase over time.

Hourly rate

£13.00 per hour
