Job summary

An educational trust is seeking a proactive PA to the Headmaster in Felixstowe. The role involves providing administrative support and being the first point of contact for the school community. Job Details

Salary: Up to £40,000 FTE ( £19.24ph ). Location: Felixstowe.

Full‑time equivalent 30 hours a week, Monday‑Friday, site‑based. Term‑time plus one additional week. Temporary role until April, possibly ongoing.

Overview

Pure are delighted to supporting an education trust with the recruitment of an experienced PA to the Headmaster.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth running of the school and the efficient day‑to‑day management of the Headteacher's office.
  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, staff and external agencies, handling communications with professionalism, discretion and sensitivity.
  • Take responsibility for key administrative areas, including:
    • Attendance monitoring
    • HR administration (cover, minutes, policy management)
    • Website updates
    • Basic financial and ordering tasks
    • General administration as directed by the Headteacher
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience managing sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work calmly under pressure.
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting school leadership.
Desirable
  • Experience working within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of school attendance systems, HR procedures, or finance software.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and data protection principles.
