Overview

PA needed to support young male.

Support required

• To support and encourage independence.
• Using public transport to travel to activities such as cinema, shopping, eating out.
• Personal care / toileting, hoisting using overhead hoist.
• Availability for longer support visits at weekends on occasion.
• Full clean driving licence – opportunity to use WAV in future if candidate is comfortable/competent driving an automatic van.
• Ability to administer medication on occasion.
• Experience of complex medical needs and/or learning difficulties.
• Assist with life skills development – e.g., cooking, dealing with shop staff, etc.

Hours

6 hours per week

Availability

Weekend availability more useful. Some of the hours could be used potentially as help during the week at bedtime. Eg. Mon & Wed 1 hour 8‑9pm + 4hrs Sat.

Hourly rate

£16.47 for a self‑employed PA. Please note that if you are an employed PA, the rate will be lower to take into consideration insurance and taxes.
