We are looking to recruit a peripatetic mobile cook in charge to join our catering team in Ceredigion. You will be expected to work as a peripatetic mobile cook throughout Ceredigion and be responsible for the delivery of catering activities at schools, care homes and civic catering kitchens, to the standards laid down by Ceredigion County Council.

Job responsibilities
  • Preparation and service of food to clients/pupils
  • Stock control and ordering of supplies (provisions and cleaning materials)
  • Cleanliness of all areas, equipment and utensils
  • Provision of menus for clients
  • Provision of special diets, as required
  • Liaison with clients regarding service
  • Management of changes to practices and procedures as required from time to time
  • Availability to cover shift work in care homes and special events, including evening and weekend working as required
  • Development support to enable quick and confident ownership of key responsibilities, and support for progression of your career with us
Office and support

Our Aberystwyth office, Canolfan Rheidol, is an award-winning building with an open-plan design that provides an excellent space for collaborative working.

Safeguarding and DBS check
