Job description

When it comes to digital communities, The Alliance is leading the way. Product marketing, sales enablement, product‑led growth, AI, customer success, CMOs — you name it, we’re home to thriving communities for them all.

With over 70,000 professionals across our communities and a fast‑growing, highly collaborative team of around 120 people, we build learning experiences, events, and products that help professionals grow at every stage of their careers. As we continue to scale globally, strong People Operations are critical to how we work and how our teams thrive.

Why join us?

At The Alliance, community is at the core of everything we do, including how we build our team. We’re intentional about creating an environment where people can do their best work, grow quickly, and feel supported in a fast‑moving business.

We’re a high‑momentum organisation: the work is busy and energising, with a lot happening across teams and business lines. We focus on creating structure, clarity, and smart processes so people can thrive in the pace, not burn out in it.

Our values: Purpose, Empowerment, Togetherness, Courage, and Curiosity, guide how we work every day. We build with intent, trust people with ownership, win as a team, take smart risks, and stay curious about how we can do things better.

The Role:

We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator / Specialist to join our People team and work closely with the Head of People. This is a true People generalist role, with a strong operational focus and plenty of scope to learn, experiment, and improve how we do things.

You’ll sit at the heart of the employee lifecycle – supporting hiring, HR operations, People systems, and data. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, loves systems and workflows, and is excited about building smarter, more scalable People Ops.

In this role you will…
  • People Ops & HR Operations Run the day‑to‑day People Operations function, supporting the full employee lifecycle and ensuring HR processes, documentation, and records are accurate, compliant, well‑organised, and built to scale.
  • Talent Acquisition Support Own hiring operations end‑to‑end, including ATS management, scheduling, coordination, and candidate experience, while partnering closely with hiring managers and the Head of People to continuously improve hiring workflows.
  • Systems, HRIS & Automation Manage and optimise our People systems and workflows, tracking key lifecycle moments (onboarding, probation, reviews) and proactively automating processes using tools, integrations, and AI.
  • Data, Reporting & Insights Maintain clean, reliable People data and support reporting across headcount, hiring, and People metrics, using insights to improve decision‑making and operational efficiency.
  • Employee Experience & Enablement Support a clear, consistent employee experience by helping maintain People documentation, onboarding resources, and internal comms that make it easy for employees to navigate how things work.
  • Policies & People Governance Support the upkeep and continuous improvement of People policies and compliance processes, ensuring they’re practical, accessible, and aligned with how the business actually operates.
  • Office Ops: You take pride in creating a well‑run workplace – supporting light office and facilities coordination, such as catering suppliers and building contacts, as part of the overall employee experience.
This role is for you if…
  • You’re a jack‑of‑all‑trades People operator who enjoys variety and ownership.
  • You’re keen to learn, experiment, and grow in a broad People Ops role.
  • You’re systems‑and‑process‑minded, with a strong interest in automation and efficiency.
  • You’re curious about AI and new tools and excited to explore how they can improve People operations.
  • You’re data‑minded and comfortable working with spreadsheets, systems, and metrics.
  • You combine operational rigour with strong people judgement – able to handle sensitive moments with empathy and know when a human conversation matters more than a process.
  • You’re trusted by others – able to listen well, handle sensitive situations with discretion, and apply sound judgement beyond what systems or data can tell you.
  • You thrive in fast‑paced, collaborative environments and enjoy supporting teams across the business.
Location & working style

This is a hybrid role, with 1–2 days per week in our London office (Dalston). You must be London‑based and happy collaborating in person as part of the People team.

Compensation: £28,000–£30,000 Base salary (Based on previous experience)
