Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne - Fully Office Based
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Full Time (37.5 hours per week; part-time hours considered for the right candidate, must be available 5 days)

About the Role

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring that payrolls are managed accurately and punctually. Your deep understanding of payroll legislation will be vital in ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment regulations. Alongside managing payroll, you'll also be responsible for key administrative tasks such as maintaining statutory registers and submitting filings to Companies House.

Responsibilities
  • Run end-to-end payrolls for clients using BrightPay, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Oversee compliance with statutory payroll obligations, including timely submissions and auto-enrolment responsibilities.
  • Administer workplace pension schemes and assist clients with compliance matters.
  • Set up records for new clients to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Prepare and submit confirmation statements and maintain accurate statutory registers.
  • Monitor key deadlines for payroll and company secretarial tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to partners and the wider team for seamless operations.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in a payroll role, ideally within an accountancy practice.
  • Familiarity with payroll legislation.
  • Proactive and reliable approach to work.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of BrightPay payroll software is desirable.
