Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in England is seeking a Booking and Scheduling Coordinator. In this role, you will be at the forefront of patient care, managing appointments and ensuring efficient communication between clinical teams and patients. Key responsibilities include accurate patient data management, coordinating pre-admission tests, and liaising with consultants. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and experience in a hospital environment. This position offers a salary between £24,937 and £26,598 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Previous waiting list management experience.
  • Experience working in an acute hospital setting.
  • Experience of dealing with members of the public.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately add patients to waiting lists, ensuring they are placed on the correct pathways.
  • Coordinate pre-admission tests and checks.
  • Liaise effectively with consultants regarding case-mix and schedule changes.
  • Ensure theatre lists are constructed to maximise utilisation.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong IT and administrative abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good keyboard skills
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office

Education

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
