Role Overview

The Pastry Chef supports the Head Pastry Chef and senior kitchen team in delivering high‑quality desserts and pastry items. This is a hands‑on role focused on preparation, execution, consistency, and maintaining excellent standards of technique and presentation.

In Your First 12 Months, You’ll…
  • Execute pastry and dessert items consistentlyto recipe and specification

  • Support daily prep and servicefor the pastry section

  • Maintain high standardsof presentation, quality, and attention to detail

  • Assist with preparation of creams, doughs, baked items, and plated desserts

  • Follow prep lists, recipes,and production schedules accurately

  • Support menu developmentand seasonal changes when required

  • Ensure correct labelling, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO)

  • Minimise waste throughcareful handling and portion control

  • Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards

  • Work collaborativelywith the wider kitchen team

What You Bring
  • Experience as a Pastry Chef or strong Commis Pastry Chef

  • Good foundational pastry skills and techniques

  • Strong organisation and time‑management skills

  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy services

  • A positive, reliable, and team‑focused attitude

  • Passion for pastry, desserts, and consistency

  • Experience with Indian flavours or spices is a bonus
