They need someone who listens.

We’re working with a welcoming secondary school looking for a Pastoral Support Worker who knows that behaviour is communication and that relationships change everything.

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need a bit of extra support
  • Helping students regulate, reflect, and reset so learning can happen
  • Liaising with teachers, SLT, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
  • Being a calm, consistent presence in busy school days
This role could suit you if you’ve worked as a:
  • Pastoral Support Worker or Behaviour Mentor
  • Youth Worker or Family Support Worker
  • SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor
  • Sports coach or support worker with strong behaviour experience
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is calm, patient, and confident with secondary‑aged students
  • Understands trauma‑informed and restorative approaches
  • Can build trust quickly and set clear boundaries
  • Cares deeply about helping young people succeed, not just cope
Why work with Protocol Education?
