A reputable education recruitment agency is looking for a Part-Time 1:1 Tutor to support children in care and those with special educational needs in Clacton-on-Sea. This role involves providing tuition mainly during school hours in core subjects like Maths, English, and Science. Candidates should have a positive attitude, the ability to engage students, and ideally possess QTS or QTLS qualifications. The position offers ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Prospero Teaching are looking for 1:1 tutors to support children in care, children with special educational needs and excluded pupils in the Clacton area.
We have a variety of different part‑time tuition opportunities that mainly take place within the school day. We work with students across key stages 1‑5, most of whom are currently disengaged in education.
Successful tutors should be able to support mainly with the core subjects of Maths, English and Science across your chosen key stages. You should be flexible, adaptable and have experience working within the education sector. Lessons could take place in either their home, care home or an alternative setting such as a local library. Students are likely to have difficulty responding to conventional teaching and may have behaviour and/or SEN difficulties. They are also likely to be working at lower levels than their peers.
