Robertson Bell are pleased to be working with a well-established organisation in the not-for-profit sector to recruit a Transactional Finance Manager on a permanent, part-time basis (21 hours a week). This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key financial processes, support a capable team member, and help ensure the smooth running of the organisation’s payments and credit control.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee weekly payment runs and ensure all invoices are correctly checked and approved.
  • Manage both debtors and creditors, keeping a close eye on credit control to ensure debts are chased promptly.
  • Review and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy across all transactions.
  • Take responsibility for fixed asset purchases, maintaining the asset register and posting monthly depreciation.
  • Support and oversee the work of the Finance Officer, offering guidance where needed.
  • Review month-end journals prepared and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work with colleagues to improve systems and processes, using your knowledge to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

  • Have proven experience overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions from start to finish.

  • Have experience with fixed assets and month-end processes (desirable).
  • Possess good IT skills, including competent Excel knowledge.
  • Be diligent, detail-focused, and able to work methodically.
