Overview

PremierGroup are currently representing an expanding manufacturing firm that is looking for a proactive Part-Time IT Manager to lead their technical operations on a permanent part-time basis. This is a high-impact, standalone position where you will balance hands-on troubleshooting with high-level infrastructure planning. You will be the primary guardian of their digital environment, ensuring all systems remain secure and efficient to support the company\'s scaling manufacturing operations.

Role Title: Part-Time IT Manager

Location: Oxfordshire (On-site/In-person)

Salary: Up to £32,000

Working Hours: 3 days a week, 8am-5pm (24 hours a week)

Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Oversight: Directing the health and maintenance of servers, hardware, and network connectivity.
  • Cloud & Data Admin: Full administration of Microsoft 365, data storage solutions, and rigorous backup/recovery protocols.
  • Technical Support: Acting as the sole expert for internal staff, handling everything from basic queries to complex second-line issues.
  • Security & Compliance: Enforcing strict cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection, patch management, and audit readiness for regulated standards.
  • Asset Management: Overseeing the full lifecycle of IT equipment, from initial procurement and onboarding to documentation and offboarding.
Candidate Profile
  • Background: You should have a solid track record in a senior support or IT leadership capacity.
  • Technical Stack: Deep familiarity with Microsoft ecosystems and a strong grasp of modern networking and security.
  • Industry Experience: While not mandatory, experience within engineering or other highly regulated sectors is a major plus.
  • Soft Skills: You must be able to translate complex technical concepts into clear advice for non-technical team members.
