Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced accounting professional seeking to join a successful growing SME business as the Part-Time Finance Manager at their Exeter office.

Reporting to the Directors, and working as part of a friendly office team this is a hands‑on stand‑alone Part‑Time Finance Manager position with responsibility for all aspects of accounting duties:

• Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers
• Bank and statement reconciliations.
• Monitoring and maintaining invoice factoring records.
• Month end duties including payment runs, journal entries.
• Management accounting including variance analysis.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• MI analysis and reporting, including profit margin analysis.
• Producing VAT returns.
• Responsible for the payroll.
• Liaising with customers and suppliers
• Credit control as needed.
• Supporting the preparation of year end accounts.
• Liaising with colleagues across the business and providing support as needed.

Salary: up to £40,000pa pro rata + benefits including pension, free parking, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, EAP, life insurance.

Location: On site at offices in Exeter (outskirts).

Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am–4:30pm some flexibility, 3 or 4 days per week to suit.

Finance Manager - The Person

This role will suit an experienced accounting professional seeking a varied hands‑on all‑round role with a great business, where you will be responsible for maintaining accounts, supporting the Directors with timely accurate financial reporting.

• Recent experience including transactional accounting, management accounting and VAT returns.
• A strong communicator, you’ll possess an approachable personality and a positive attitude.
• IT literate with experience of Xero and Excel (formula, look ups etc), systems implementation a bonus!
• Team player able to work using own initiative and effectively manage own time.
