Responsibilities

  • Negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes.

  • Reconcile customer accounts.
  • Prepare debts for legal action.
  • Establish key relationships with clients.

Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a part-time Credit Controller on behalf of a business that is based in Preston. This company is well established and has served our 50,000 clients in the last 10 years or so. The business prides themselves on their strong reputation and high success rate. The vacancy requires the successful candidate to work on a part-time and permanent basis. You'll have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and full training will be given. Salary and Benefits
  • Hourly pay of £13.19

Your New Role as the part-time Credit Controller
  • Negotiate payment plans, follow up failed promises to pay and resolve disputes
  • Allocation of receipts in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reviewing and understanding client ledgers
  • Dealing with clients and internal queries relating to bills and client ledgers
  • Liaising with solicitors and fee earners on a regular basis regarding aged debt positions
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Prepare overdue debts for legal action
  • To establish and maintain key relationships with Clients – the ability to manage aged debt whilst upholding client goodwill is critical
  • Prompt resolution of client invoice queries, liaising with both Fee Earners and Clients to resolve
  • To provide detailed analysis of outstanding debt to Clients and Fee Earners as required
  • To review processes and to identify any potential improvements in processes.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels (ESSENTIAL)
  • A confident telephone manner and excellent written communication skills (ESSENTIAL)
  • Empathetic but tenacious, with the ability to build relationships to ensure debts are resolved quickly and efficiently (ESSENTIAL)
  • Ability to understand and manage credit control processes (ESSENTIAL)
