Parking Appeals Officer

Must have good working knowledge of Parking Appeals

Key result areas/overview:

Parking Appeals officers provide a responsive service to users of parking services, handling correspondence, appeals, permits, telephone calls, income, refunds, complaints, court, and bailiffs. They represent the client at adjudication, attend seminars, and participate in working groups and functions. They report to the team leader on stock requirements and appeal success rates. Experience within appeals is essential.

The Dimensions of this role
  1. Work within a team providing customer interface in parking services, including correspondence, appeals, permits, telephone calls, income, invoicing, refunds, complaints, courts, bailiffs, and data entry.
  2. Represent the client at adjudication and external functions such as benchmarking, working groups, and seminars.
  3. Keep the team leader informed on cases, appeal success rates, system issues, and procedural problems.
  4. Possess knowledge of Traffic and Parking Legislation and consider appeals following 'representations' in line with legislation.
Responsibilities:
  • Decide whether to accept or reject appeals.
  • Suggest procedural improvements to enhance service delivery, customer focus, and efficiency.
  • Assist the team leader with reconciling payments, tracing errors, and resolving issues.
  • Process payments and refunds.
  • Provide high-level customer care, especially for complex and contentious cases.
Candidate requirements:

Excellent communication skills, at least 6 months of Parking Appeals experience, attention to detail, and experience with computerised systems.

Working hours and pay:

37+ hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically between 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm, with potential flexibility. Salary between £20.00 - £21.00 Ltd PH.
