Job description

Futures is working with a well known manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Leeds who are going through a period of continued growth. We are looking to appoint a Panel Wirer to take ownership of assembling, wiring, and carrying out functional tests on electrical control panels and related systems.

Working within a supportive production team, you'll follow technical drawings and specifications to ensure every unit is built safely, accurately, and to a consistently high standard.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Installing and wiring components including contactors, relays, switches, and drives.
  • Conducting electrical testing and inspection before dispatch.
  • Adhering to all applicable safety procedures and quality requirements.
  • Collaborating with design engineers and production leads to resolve any build or wiring challenges.
  • Interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings.
  • Assembling and wiring complete control panels from initial build through to final checks.
  • Crimping, soldering, and terminating cables, connectors, and components.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience as a Panel Wirer, Electrical Assembler, or in a comparable electrical assembly position.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical control systems and componentry.
  • Confident working from detailed electrical drawings and diagrams.
  • High level of accuracy, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
  • Strong team ethic and a proactive approach to safe working.
