Shift Pattern : Monday to Thursday : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 45 PM and Friday : 8 : 00 AM – 3 : 45 PM

Location : Mitie, Investment House, 8 East Terrace, Euxton Lane, Chorley, Lancashire, England, PR7 6TE

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Painter & Decorator to join our team working across the North West . You'll be delivering high-quality internal and external painting and decorating works across a variety of projects

Key Responsibilities

The role involves carrying out all aspects of painting and decorating, including surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs. The work encompasses both internal and external finishes using a variety of materials and techniques. Employees will be required to safely erect and use access equipment, with full training and equipment provided. They will also install temporary screening to protect work areas and the public where needed. Monitoring material usage and maintaining adequate stock levels is essential, as is ensuring that tools and equipment are properly used, cleaned, and maintained. The position requires following work plans and completing tasks within agreed timescales and budgets. Additionally, recording work activity and completion using mobile technology is part of the job, with training provided.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 4 years of verifiable experience in painting and decorating. Ideally, applicants will hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification or its equivalent, with preference given to those who are time-served or apprenticeship-trained. Candidates should have excellent attention to detail, good communication, and strong customer service skills. They must be able to manage their workload effectively, work independently, and meet deadlines. While a driving licence is preferred, it is not essential. Candidates should also be comfortable using a smartphone to upload job information and photos.
