A dance art organization in Brighton is offering a two-week paid residency for Deaf, Disabled, and/or Neurodivergent dance artists. The residency includes a fee of £2,000 and additional funds for access costs, aimed at providing time and support to create and share their artistic work. The organization is committed to enabling diverse artists to overcome systemic barriers in their creative journeys.

We are offering a two-week paid residency for a Deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodivergent dance artist to develop their work in our supportive, well-equipped and welcoming space in central Brighton.
This residency is open to dance artists at any stage of their career, who are currently making work — whether you’re just starting an idea or are mid-process.
We know that Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent artists are facing more barriers than ever when it comes to making and sharing work. With this residency, we want to offer time, space and financial support to help break down some of those barriers.
We know that systemic barriers and ableism can limit Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent artists’ opportunities to create and share work. With this residency, we are committed to providing time, space, and financial support to enable artists to centre their artistry and creative vision.
