Full and part time hours available 8pm – 8am.

Overview

A unique opportunity has arisen for registered Paediatric/Adult Nurses to work within a package of support for a young boy. We are looking for confident and competent experienced Registered Paediatric/Adult Nurses who can work in a community setting with a background in Critical Care/ICU. Experience of working with complex clinical care and community care would be an advantage. The support is funded via a Personal Health Budget, and you will provide nursing care and support within a busy family home and in the community. Zac has a rare cardiac condition and needs round‑the‑clock care and support. There must be a nurse on shift all the time and you will be supported by a health‑care assistant. You will provide one‑on‑one care and support as well as working as part of a wider team. Your support will really make a difference and enable Zac’s independence.

Essential Requirements

A minimum of 1 year experience and ability to work with and practice the following:

  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation care
  • Enteral tube feeding
  • Oral suction / trache suction
  • Medication Administration and Pain Management
  • Suction machine
  • nebuliser
  • Saturation monitoring

You will need to:

  • Be a Registered Nurse with full awareness and understanding of NMC code of professional conduct
  • Have a valid PIN / DBS

  • COVID‑19 considerations: All nurses are required to wear PPE in line with government guidance if unwell.
