Overview

We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic pharmacist with a keen interest in paediatrics and oncology to join our friendly paediatric pharmacy team. This role involves providing excellent clinical care to children, teenagers, and young adults undergoing treatment on the two inpatient floors at the UCH main building. Additionally, you will contribute to supporting the work of the TYA ambulatory care pharmacist in the Macmillan Cancer Centre.

Responsibilities

As a valued member of our team, you will collaborate closely within the multi-disciplinary team across all aspects of clinical care, education and training, and uphold clinical governance standards related to medicines use for the Paediatrics Division. This role offers the opportunity to expand your own expertise and that of junior pharmacy colleagues and undergraduates, along with medical students and junior medical staff. Collaboration with senior clinicians and nursing staff to ensure high-quality medicines management is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills) and have a broad base of clinical experience. Specialist experience in oncology/haematology is highly desirable. Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills are essential.
