A prominent healthcare organization in Newport is seeking an experienced administrative professional to provide secretarial support to clinical teams. The successful candidate will manage their workload, assist with scheduling, and ensure effective communication within the department. Essential skills include audio typing and organizational abilities, with a focus on a supportive work environment.
To provide confidential secretarial support to the specialist clinical teams and operational & strategic management group within the PACCT services. Carry out duties as defined by the PACCT Support Manager and clinical leads to meet the needs of the wider service. Audio/copy/digital dictation - G2 speech report - typing of correspondence, clinic letters and discharge summaries accurately and within time limits set by departmental standards, thus requiring excellent keyboard skills, knowledge of medical terminology and secretarial procedures. Audio/copy - Digital dictation - typing of any other correspondence as required. Correspondence, letters and discharge summaries can relate to all aspects of medicine and the ability to learn and use initiative is necessary. This will sometimes involve typing letters of a distressing nature.
Support the PACCT clinic co-ordinator with the booking of appointments within a timely managed process and ensuring all patient queries are dealt with professionally and sympathetically.
Assist with general administrative duties as required to support cross-area working within the department, travelling between sites as necessary.
Provide secretarial support to consultants and the provision of general support throughout the department as and when necessary. The provision of support to specialist nurses as and when required.
