PA to Headteacher Secondary School, Newham

Overview

£20 per hour Full-time Term time plus 2 weeks Long-term or permanent opportunity

A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Newham is looking for a talented Personal Assistant to the Headteacher. This role is an exciting opportunity to support a Headteacher leading a diverse and ambitious school community, where staff and students are encouraged to excel.

Duties of the Role
  • Provide full administrative support to the Headteacher, including managing diaries, correspondence and confidential communications
  • Draft and prepare professional documents, reports and presentations to the highest standard
  • Coordinate governor meetings, produce agendas and minutes, and ensure timely follow-up of actions
  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, governors and external stakeholders, ensuring all interactions reflect the professionalism of the school
  • Support with key school events, policy administration and whole-school communications
The Ideal Candidate
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a UK school in an administrative or PA capacity
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong IT and communication skills, with attention to detail in written work
  • A professional, discreet and adaptable approach to handling confidential information
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate the needs of senior leaders
