Where you come in?

We're looking for an Outwards Reinsurance Placement Associate, to work alongside our Outwards Reinsurance Manager and Head of Partnerships in the delivery of the plan formation, structuring and placement of Ki's outwards reinsurance programme. You'll be a key part of a team delivering a critical component of Ki's business model. You'll support in ensuring the ORI programme is appropriate to the business requirements through the implementation of effective monitoring, reporting and analytical processes whilst supporting on the day-to-day management of the outwards reinsurance placement workload and process for all lines of business.

What you will be doing
  • Take ownership of a defined placement workload, applying best process to control and improve the outwards reinsurance placement process.
  • Provide workable solutions and recommendations to resolve and reduce barriers within the ORI programme.
  • Work closely with the Outwards Reinsurance Manager to produce standard submission exhibits and respond to reinsurer requests for additional information.
  • Produce outwards reinsurance information for business planning and strategic purposes.
  • Support in providing relevant and insightful information for the group's Committees and Boards and act as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding the placement process or placement details.
What you will bring to the role

This role will suit a candidate with solid experience of the reinsurance placement process, ideally gained from working within an outwards reinsurance or underwriting team in the London Market or Lloyd's of London syndicate. Experience of working across property, casualty, and speciality lines as well as different reinsurance solutions and structures would be highly beneficial. Above all we're looking for a keen learner, and strong team player eager to progress within a growing reinsurance team.
