Talent 4 Good are delighted to be working with a Public Benefit Entity that has been operating for 20 years and is owned by a registered charity theirs charity-owned status makes them unique in the marketplace, allowing them to genuinely care about creating better and lasting impacts for vulnerable people and households in poverty. We are recruiting an Organisational Funding Manager on a 4 day a week basis.

Job Salary : £30,240 part time equivalent - £37,800

Location : Hybrid working - (office base Birmingham city centre) Include regular travel across the West Midlands and North West regions to support the funded organisations

Hours : 30 hours - 4 days pw

Scope of role

To lead and manage the organisational grants programme for two charities. to act as a point of contact for advice agencies and other charities. You will work closely with Trustees to set grant criteria, coordinate funding rounds, manage applications, and ensure robust governance and performance monitoring. You will engage with community organisations across thematic priority groups, building relationships and networks to support the strategies of the charities you are representing. The role will also oversee the ongoing emergency funding provision, including managing partnerships and evaluation for multiple partners each year, as well as delivering an annual larger-scale call for funding focused on thematic areas that drive innovation and longer-term change in line with our strategy. This role is pivotal in building positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring successful and impactful outcomes aligned with strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Grant Management
  • Collaborate with Trustees to define grant criteria and priorities.
  • Design and execute funding rounds, including promotion, application management, and shortlisting.
  • Draft and issue grant funding agreements, ensuring legal and operational compliance.
  • Develop and refine KPI frameworks and SLA metrics.
Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Arrange and conduct monitoring visits to funded organisations.
  • Perform due diligence and audit activities to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and report on overall programme performance, including quarterly updates to the Board.
Operational Delivery
  • Maintain and update grant application guidance and processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate assessment of applications against agreed criteria.
  • Coordinate internal communications to support joined-up service delivery across departments.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with funded organisations, Trustees, and external partners.
  • Promote transparency and visibility of funded projects through communications and website updates.
  • Support funded organisations in achieving publicity for their work and the Trust Fund.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience in grants management, contract oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate priorities into operational delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for engaging with applicants, Trustees, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and prepare insightful reports and recommendations.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring KPIs and SLAs.
  • High level of organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy and customer service orientation, with a commitment to social impact.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in auditing, due diligence, and compliance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with CRM or grant management systems.
  • Knowledge of the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector.
