Oracle DBA Contract Location: Sheffield, UK (onsite)
Type: 6-Month Contract with potential extension
Payrate: Circa £300 - £365/day Inside IR35

We are seeking a seasoned Oracle DBA Administrator with a passion for stability, automation, and continuous improvement (CI). This role is essential for maintaining our critical Oracle DB and MySQL systems within a dynamic Enterprise Cloud environment.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Core DBA Expertise: Strong, non-negotiable skills in Oracle DBA and experience with MySQL.
  • Operational Ownership: Own, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical faults within the Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Service Delivery: Provide escalated technical support, ensuring system availability and managing Incidents, Service Requests, and Changes against strict SLAs/KPIs.
  • CI Mindset: Actively apply Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology to drive efficiency and reduce waste in daily operations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively across Matrix relationships and possess strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Learning Acumen: Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt new database technologies (preferably latest versions).

Highly Desirable Skills:

  • Programming skills, particularly Python, for automation and integration.
  • Understanding of Unix Shell Scripting.
