A very exciting opportunity has become available for an Optometrist on a full or part time, permanent basis with a high end independent chain based in the Southwest of England. They are looking to recruit within their central Somerset practice, which has been recently refurbished!

This independent high street opticians, known for their high-quality service, are looking to add to their team by recruiting an Optometrist to work a minimum of 3 days a week, including some Saturday working. NO SUNDAYS OR BANK HOLIDAYS.

An enthusiastic and committed individual is required to join and work in their Central Somerset based practice. Located in excellent locations, this Optician’s attractive practices are equipped to the highest standard with the latest instruments and equipment such as OCT and Optomap.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist:

1. Build rapport and converse with patients, as they pride themselves on excellent customer care.

Requirements of the Optometrist:

1. Must be GOC registered.
2. Open to newly qualified or experienced candidates.
3. A friendly and personable demeanor and strong personal work ethic.
4. A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optometrist:

1. Competitive package up to £70,000 basic FTE.
2. Hours are 9-5pm, ideally 3 days a week, but full-time will be considered.
3. Professional fees covered.
4. 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays.
5. Sociable hours with no Sundays, Bank Holidays, or late nights.
