Overview

We are looking for a new Ophthalmic Assistant to join our Nottingham site. This will be 40 hours over 5 days per week including some weekends on a rota basis.

Responsibilities
  • See a number of patients each day to take them through a range of diagnostic tests.
  • Pass patient findings to a senior clinician to determine if surgery or further treatment is required.
  • Use a variety of equipment and systems; comfortable using systems and fairly tech savvy.
  • Help put patients at ease and explain the purpose of the tests to ensure the patient understands their treatment.
  • Support the growth and development of clinical skills and explore potential career paths in diagnostic (clinic) or theatre teams.
