About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee daily operations, lead and motivate your team, and deputise for the Operations Manager when required. You'll play a key part in achieving production targets while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance standards are always met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion health & safety, ensuring compliance with regulations, procedures, and audits.
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive team culture.
  • Achieve daily production KPIs, maintaining efficiency and minimising downtime.
  • Oversee resources, stock management, and dispatch operations.
  • Maintain quality standards, supporting audits and compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve processes.
  • Manage staffing levels, inductions, training, and performance reviews.
  • Contribute to environmental and sustainability programmes.
  • Provide accurate operational reporting and support contingency planning.
What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership/supervisory experience in production or operations.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 and IOSH Working Safely (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable:

  • FLT Counterbalance licence.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, HACCP Level 2, or First Aid at Work.
  • Experience supporting external audits (e.g., BRC, ISO).
  • ILM or similar leadership training
