Role

We are seeking an Operations Operative to join our IT Recycling team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide operative support to the Operations part of the team as required and ensure that all deadlines and KPI’s are adhered to.
  • All Operations employees are expected to become multi-skilled to work in all areas if required.
  • Unload vehicles and palletise IT Recycling collections.
  • Check, weigh and count jobs and record all information accurately.
  • Use of the dedicated computer system to record asset information.
  • Use of processing systems for refurbishment, including data wiping.
  • Repair systems to maximise the opportunities for re-use.
  • Dismantle systems and other IT equipment, prior to shredding.
  • When fully trained, operate the shredding equipment.
  • Meet all departmental KPI as outlined by line management.
  • Identify equipment for re-sale on eBay.
  • List equipment on eBay with correct product descriptions.
  • Test different IT equipment.
  • Pick and pack orders ready for shipping.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Excellent timekeeping and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Keen attention to detail and a mature approach to work using efficient practices.
  • Desirable but not essential: understanding of 5S and LEAN working practices.
  • Basic level of understanding of IT equipment.
  • Relevant training will be provided.
Job Details

This is a full-time position – 37 hours per week.
