Operations Manager

Location: North Nottinghamshire
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)

We are working with a well‑established SME based in North Nottinghamshire who are looking to appoint a hands‑on Operations Manager to take ownership of day‑to‑day operations and support the continued smooth running of the business.

This is a varied, practical role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail, rolling their sleeves up, and working as part of a small, close‑knit team.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating operational activity across production, logistics and planning. Your focus will be on keeping things running efficiently, meeting deadlines and ensuring customers receive a reliable service.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing day‑to‑day production operations
  • Managing goods inwards and despatch (goods in & goods out)
  • Supporting and coordinating elements of the supply chain
  • Planning work schedules and prioritising workloadsManaging and supporting a small operational team
  • Monitoring stock levels and leading regular stock takes
  • Ensuring deadlines and delivery commitments are met
  • Identifying and resolving operational issues as they arise
  • Driving a practical, organised and efficient working environment
About You

This role will suit someone who has experience in an SME or fast‑paced operational environment and is comfortable being both strategic and hands‑on.
