Operations & Production Manager required for a leading European logistics company based in Wisbech.

About The Role

This is a pivotal role where you'll be responsible for driving efficiency, ensuring product quality, and leading a high-performing team. You'll oversee day-to-day operations while also shaping long-term strategy, making sure our plant runs smoothly, safely, and profitably.

  • Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and HSE standards while reducing defects and waste.
  • Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and line teams, building strong engagement and succession plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma projects to cut costs, improve flow, and reduce stoppages.
  • Resource Management: Oversee labour, budgets, materials, and inventory to keep operations cost-effective and seamless.
  • Customer Focus: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to meet service levels and support audits.
  • Strategic Growth: Align operations with business strategy, support new product launches, and plan for future capacity.
