Budock Vean Hotel is seeking a dynamic, hands‑on Operations Manager with a strong Food & Beverage background, particularly in bars, cellar management, and service excellence, to support the General Manager in leading the hotel operation.

This role is ideal for a commercially driven hospitality professional who thrives on attention to detail, people development, and delivering award‑worthy guest experiences. Due to the nature of the role, you will work 5 days from 7, including weekends and several evenings per week, on straight shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all hotel operating departments alongside the General Manager, with close support and liaison with Food & Beverage operations
  • Drive exceptional customer service, consistency, and guest satisfaction across the hotel
  • Support the development of high‑performing Food & Beverage and operational team members in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager
  • Maintain brand standards, licensing compliance, and all health & safety requirements
  • Take accountability for liquor profitability, payroll control, and stock takes
  • Maximise revenue through effective upselling, team incentives, and engagement
  • Develop food and drinks menus in collaboration with senior team members
  • Handle guest queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Conduct regular communication meetings, appraisals, and performance reviews
  • Promote environmental awareness and sustainable working practices
  • Assist other departments as required and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships

  • Strong expertise in bar operations, cellar management, and beverage controls
