Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing school administration, communications, HR and data while ensuring that procedures and policies are implemented and adhered to. This includes recruiting, training, line-managing and evaluating the performance of business staff as well as handling any issues that arise to ensure the smooth running of our school. As Operations manager, you will also be expected to manage the school's MIS, including school and workforce census, provide customer service to school stakeholders, and organise events and meetings.

Qualifications and experience
  • Has achieved grade C or equivalent, or above, in 5 GCSE subjects, including Maths and English;
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work effectively with a variety of pupils, staff, parents, stakeholders and outside agencies;
  • Has outstanding ICT and secretarial skills, including accurate touch typing;
  • Has strong leadership skills;
  • Has an absolute understanding of the need for confidentiality when required within an HR role;
  • Is highly-organised, self-motivated and consistent;
  • Has the ability to remain calm and authoritative in a busy school environment;
  • Is a strong team player, good at building relationships;
  • Has a confident, resilient and flexible attitude;
  • Has previous experience in a similar operational management role (advantageous);
  • Has HR experience (desirable but not essential). £34,435 - £39,152 pro rata per annum DOE

Permanent The Clarendon Academy Clarendon Academy is seeking a confident, proactive and highly organised Operations Manager to provide a comprehensive service in running the day-to-day operations of our school business. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is capable of leading our dedicated administration team, overseeing school administrative operations and working with our Senior Leadership team to improve operational efficiency. Working Hours: Part Time (37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 40 weeks per year, includes Teacher Training days plus one week). Salary: £17.85 - £20.29 per hour (£34,435 - £39,152 pro rata per annum) DOE. Required: April 2026.
