Operational Risk Reporting Manager – Salary circa £45,000

We’re looking for an Operational Risk Reporting Manager to lead the delivery of high‑quality operational risk and control reporting. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. A bit about the job:

The role sits within the Central Governance and Assurance team and is there to help support the wider business in meeting the requirements of Aviva’s Operational Risk and Control Management (ORCM) Framework – the goal of the framework is ultimately to protect the business and protect good customer outcomes. The role is broad and includes:

  • Accountable for leading a small team of ORCM Reporting Analysts to produce accurate, timely reports with clear insights for senior leaders and stakeholders across the business.
  • Responsible for managing and prioritising day‑to‑day reporting activities, ensuring timely delivery of core outputs and effective handling of ad‑hoc reporting demands.
  • Collaboration with wider teams supporting the development and delivery of customer‑focused, insightful ORCM reporting; ensuring continuous improvements on standards.
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of risk and control papers for Executive and Board Risk Committees with accurate, informative ORCM MI.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Strong ability to analyse data, spot trends, identify themes and improvement actions. Excel knowledge is preferable.
  • Clear and confident communicator with excellent report‑writing skills.
  • Experience of working with risk frameworks is desirable.
  • Familiarity with risk management and reporting tools.
  • Leadership experience with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective, collaborative relationships.
