Operational Readiness Project Manager - Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the leading providers of elective care services within North‑West London. The flagship capital development of the Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre (ADC) on the West Middlesex Site will increase access to services for a range of day‑care treatments and diagnostic procedures, and provide state‑of‑the‑art modern healthcare facilities for our patients and staff. The new 5‑storey building is due to open to patients in October 2026 and will comprise Diagnostic Imaging, Renal Dialysis, Haematology‑Oncology Day Care, and Education and Training facilities.

The Operational Readiness Project Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of the West Middlesex Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre (ADC) programme. This role sits within the ADC PMO and is responsible for maintaining programme governance, ensuring readiness tracking, and providing hands‑on support to operational/clinical workstream leads.

Main duties of the job
  • To develop a strong understanding of the clinical pathways for patients being cared for within the ADC.
  • To support teams to ensure the optimum use of all facilities available and maximising productivity, as per the intentions of the Full Business Case (FBC).
  • To work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships with the operational and clinical teams and act as an interface between the two.
  • Liaise with Estates and Facilities to ensure areas meet the needs of service users, paying particular attention to privacy and dignity.
  • Establish the information and reporting requirements for the service.
  • Liaise with other support services (e.g. pathology) to establish the systems and processes required to support the delivery of the service.
  • Respond to financial, resourcing and procurement queries and proactively follow up and track progress to ensure a speedy resolution to problems.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to develop a communications and marketing plan to raise awareness about the redevelopment.
