Role: OFSTED Registered Manager (Children s Home)
Salary: Competitive (circa £50,000)
Location: Hayes, West London

The Company:
A well-established, values-led children s residential care provider supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex needs. The home is newly opened, with a strong focus on quality care and positive outcomes, and has recently received a good Ofsted inspection.

Job Summary / Duties:

  • Lead the operational delivery of a new children's home as the OFSTED Registered Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Children s Homes Regulations 2015 and OFSTED inspection standards.
  • Drive a child-centred, high-quality care environment focused on safety, development, and wellbeing.
  • Manage and develop a team, including rotas, appraisals, supervisions, and ongoing training.
  • Oversee safeguarding, health & safety, education liaison, and care planning.
  • Maintain budgets, ensure accurate records, and uphold data protection and confidentiality.
  • Be part of a 24/7 on-call rota, ensuring effective response and support.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 minimum; Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
  • Eligible to register with OFSTED as a Registered Manager.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and OFSTED requirements.
  • Experience managing in a children s residential setting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Able to use initiative and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • IT literate and physically able for manual handling.

Desirable:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible to work evenings/weekends and part of the on-call rota
