A leading recruitment agency in the UK seeks an Offshore Geotechnical Engineer to manage investigations for offshore structures. The role demands 5-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, strong understanding of foundation design, and compliance with industry standards. The position offers a full-time contract and hybrid working options.
As Offshore Geotechnical Engineer you will be responsible for planning, executing, and interpreting geotechnical investigations to support the design and installation of offshore structures, including wind turbine foundations, oil & gas platforms, subsea pipelines, and seabed installations. The role involves interpretation, data analysis, and foundation design/installation recommendations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Experience: 5-10 years in offshore geotechnical roles with pile & foundations design and installation activities.
Education: Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering or similar.
Technical skills: shallow foundations, pile installation, CPT interpretation, soil-structure interaction and geotechnical data interpretation.
IT skills: Finite Element Analysis software (PLAXIS or ABAQUS).
