The Role:

We are seeking a highly capable and proactive Office Manager to join our UK based team. The role is based on site and is a full-time role.

You will take the lead on driving a positive company culture through office socials. You will be responsible for office operations and facilities, ensuring our office and lab spaces are welcoming inspiring environments for all our employees. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment where no two days are the same!

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining a close working relationship VP HR, Talent Acquisition Team and with the landlord and Building Management team.
  • Driving company culture, organise events, team lunches, and social gatherings for the local team.
  • Welcoming visitors and ensuring office staff are informed of any offsite visitors.
  • Main point of contact for our UK office operations, liaising with service providers and vendors.
  • Managing post, couriers, and general office operations.
  • Organising office space.
  • Purchasing of office supplies thus ensuring a well-functioning work environment.
  • Assisting with ad hoc administrative tasks and cross-functional projects as needed.
  • On-boarding new starters and welcome events for new team members.
Required skills and experiences
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Office Manager, or a similar role - ideally in a start-up environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, resourceful mindset and high degree of ownership and initiative.
  • Confidence in interacting with people at all levels both within and outside the company.
  • Flexible approach and a growth mindset.
  • Capable of handling ambiguity and constant change.
