Overview

Thank you for your interest in working at Five Acres High School. We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator - Reception to join the support team. Greenshaw Learning Trust is a successful multi-academy trust providing inclusive education across primary and secondary schools in London, Surrey, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Plymouth. Main responsibilities
  • Follow school security procedures regarding access and entry to the premises.
  • Provide general administrative assistance including texting/emailing parents, creating letters, printing and scanning.
  • Undertake routine clerical tasks to support administrative processes in the school.
  • Order and maintain stock supplies including paper and ink toners. Be the main point of contact for copier service engineers, including reporting copier faults.
  • Assist in the use of our school communication system for educational visits, catering, extra-curricular activities and parental financial contributions.
  • Handle difficult situations with sensitivity and calm, ensuring safeguarding of pupils, data protection, and strict confidentiality; report any concerns to the appropriate person.
  • Ensure all appropriate information and communications are disseminated to relevant staff.
What you will need
  • At least 5 GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) including Maths and English.
  • Evidence of professional development in a relevant discipline.
  • Previous administrative experience demonstrating strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication with students, staff and parents/visitors; sensitive, compassionate and effective.
  • Excellent customer service skills including written and verbal.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills with attention to detail.
  • Good ICT knowledge including Google and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; flexible and conscientious.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people—students, colleagues and parents.
  • High level of professional integrity, energy and enthusiasm; willingness to be involved in all aspects of school life.
