About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and connected professional to join our LAB Aviation team in a pivotal, senior-level role. This position will lead the development and management of strategic relationships with global aviation OEMs, securing lubricant approvals and providing expert guidance to support our growth strategy in the aviation sector. This role will play a central role in shaping our technical and commercial direction in this highly specialised market.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish, grow, and maintain strong, influential relationships with key technical decision-makers at global aviation OEMs, including turbine engine, airframe manufacturers, and airlines.
• Lead efforts to understand, influence, and navigate OEM specifications and approval processes for aviation lubricants.
• Drive the securing of global product approvals for Lanxess aviation fluids in partnership with OEM stakeholders.
• Monitor emerging technologies, competitor activities, and industry trends, providing critical insights to inform business and product strategies.
• Represent the business in industry associations and regulatory bodies, building networks and contributing to the development of future industry standards and specifications.
• Serve as a key member of the global LAB Aviation leadership team, acting as the voice of the customer and market expert, offering strategic guidance and technical leadership across functions.

You will bring industry knowledge, strong strategic capability, and a collaborative, leadership-driven mindset. You will be comfortable with frequent travel on a global scale.
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in the aviation industry, with knowledge of lubricant technologies and OEM approval processes preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional, global teams and collaborate effectively with commercial, technical, and regulatory partners.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage credibly with senior executives, industry leaders, and technical specialists.
